Disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder by her gangster boyfriend and is hidden by the police in the last place anyone would look — a convent. Disguised as a nun and at war with the Mother Superior, she turns the choir into the hottest act in town, which is not the ideal way to stay hidden.
