Commitment Expectations

Les Misérables is an extremely challenging show, and this project is a mammoth undertaking. In order for it to work, we need an incredible level of commitment from all involved.

This page outlines the minimum of what this is expected to look like in the different phases of the production.

Auditions

We anticipate a very large number of applicants, so auditions will take place over several rounds in order to conduct genuinely open auditions and give everyone an equal and fair chance.

This means that you must be available to audition on the weekends listed in the Audition Schedule—there will be no alternatives.

If you book an audition, and aren’t able to attend, please contact us in plenty of time.

Rehearsals

You must be able to commit to rehearsals on Sundays commencing Sunday January 26th 2025.

You will not be required all day on every Sunday, but you must be available when called. The rehearsal schedule will be available around the time of casting.

Holiday absences should be avoided if at all possible and certainly in June, July and August when rehearsals will intensify.

Rehearsals are likely to take place in and around Bristol. Cast will need to make their own travel arrangements.

Show Week

You must be prepared to be available full-time during show week (Sunday 9th August–Saturday 16th August 2025) for all scheduled technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, matinees and evening performances.

Time off work will therefore be required.
