We are looking for a total of 12 children, with playing ages between 7 and 11. Auditions will take place in January 2025 (see Audition Schedule).
There are a total of 6 “named” roles, as listed below.
Please note that children may audition using either of the audition pieces provided for these children’s roles:
- Young Cosette (female role)
- Gavroche (male role)
Gavroche’s Gang
Paris at this time would be full of orphans (due to years of wars and revolutions). These are children who have to survive by themselves and, unlike Gavroche, they are not very street wise.
Gavroche’s gang will be made up from the six children cast above, namely:
- Gavroche—as himself
- Young Cosette—as a different girl
- Young Eponine—as a different girl
- Young Azelma—as a different girl
- Petit Gervais—as a different boy
- Boy—as the younger brother of the boy above
