Alan Menken, Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent’s musical adaptation of Dickens, first staged by Radio City Entertainment at Madison Square Garden. Scrooge is taken through his own past, present and future by three ghosts, by way of the Cratchits, Marley and Fezziwig’s annual Christmas ball.
BLOC’s production made Victorian London a character in its own right — and, Dickens having been obsessed with magic, threw in a little of that too.
