From Monday 21st to Saturday 26th October 1985 the Bristol Light Opera Club presented Annie, the Strouse and Charnin musical based on “Little Orphan Annie”, at the Bristol Hippodrome, directed by Sally Noble with Christopher Northam as musical director and Vicki Klein as choreographer. Annie, the orphans and the Star To Be were double-cast in two teams, and chairman Alan Seager was “delighted that so many of them are our own young people from our Junior Light Opera Club”. His remarks also marked Freddie Neath’s 50th year of membership of the club. The programme thanks “Sally and Poppy for acting as Sandy”, and Christopher Coote for the loan of his 1929 Austin 12 for publicity.
